Where does Jones Dairy Farm source all of its meat?
All products in Japan use 100% American pork and poultry from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspected facilities. All of the meat we use is sourced from suppliers and farms in the United States.
What is Canadian bacon?
“Canadian bacon” is what Americans call back bacon. It comes from the loin cut, which runs along the pig’s back. In Japan, it is commonly known as loin ham.
What is the difference between Canadian bacon and “regular” bacon?
Canadian bacon is made from the pork loin, while bacon strips, like our Extra Thick Cherrywood Bacon, come from the pork belly. Canadian bacon is more lean than belly bacon and comes in round slices.
What is the best way to prepare Jones Dairy Farm products?
Our uncured center-cut Canadian Bacon and Heritage Ham can be enjoyed as is, or warmed up. Meanwhile, our Dry-aged Cherrywood Bacon and all-natural sausage products are best enjoyed cooked in the oven or on a stovetop.

These standards verify our processes and procedures are comprehensive and reinforces our commitment to food safety. Raw materials and finished products go through numerous evaluations and tests to ensure they meet our specifications but more importantly, our customers’ expectations.
What steps does Jones Dairy Farm take to produce high-quality products?
We go the extra mile to deliver incredible, high-quality products to our customers. We’re highly selective about our ingredients, the cuts we use and how we prepare them. Our bacon is naturally smoked for up to 12 hours and dry-aged for up to a month. We only use whole muscle hand-trimmed cuts for our ham and sausage products and all of our spices are hand-mixed for consistent flavor. We spend significantly more time and money on each product than our competitors do, but we believe that great products are worth the trouble.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes. Every Jones Dairy Farm product available in Japan is Certified Gluten-Free.
Do your products contain MSG?
No. Our products are made with real, wholesome ingredients and nothing more. They have never contained MSG or other artificial flavors.
Are your products safe for people with allergies?
Our products are free of all “Big 8” food allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish.

Why is it called Jones “Dairy” Farm?
In 1832, the Jones family settled in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, where they made their living as dairy farmers. After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, the head of the family, Milo, was no longer able to operate the farm. What he could do is make his mother’s recipe for breakfast sausage. So, in 1889, he began selling that sausage to friends both far and wide.
